Yeah, crazy shit right - but surely the only oddity is that he can be a self professed vampire.
Did he bite himself in the neck? Of course even if he could, he wasn't a vampire in the first place.
Oh, and the murder was slightly curious too. But is the murder of a villain as bad? yes, probably.
Anyhow, I have a neuron in the memory centre (forget what the centre is called) saying that I should write up something here now, there was a foreign vampire movie that I saw on our kinda alt. TV channel down here when I was a teenager. link
